Uirou

Uirou was imported into Japan from China during the Muromachi era [1336-1573]. One of the interesting things is there are varied Uirou in each region of Japan, such as Kyoto, Odawara or Nagoya but made in different way. “Yamaguchi Uirou” is famous for using bracken starch. Its jiggly texture is the greatest feature.
